International Staff Training Days 2023 - 22-24 May

This year's International Staff Training Days adresses colleagues and academic staff. It will deal with the question "How to motivate STEM students to participate in international exchange?", and will provide various opportunities for networking and sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues from partner institutions.

Winter school

Dear PhD Students,

On behalf of the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin we invite interested foreign doctoral students to apply to the Winter School Program offered as part of a project granted by NAWA Poland. Harmful or hazardous work conditions refund

Dear PhD Students,

You may receive a refund for working under harmful conditions or with hazardous agents in the summer semester. If you wish to do so, you must submit the request by 28 February 2023.

Ordinance no. 95/R/22 of 23 August 2022

Doctoral students who submitted the form in October DO NOT have to resubmit it now. The refund has been awarded for the entire academic year.

Reporting session

The reporting session for PhD Students of the Intercollegiate Biotechnology Doctoral School of UG and MUG and Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of UG and MUG took place on Friday, December 9th, 2022 at the Novotel Hotel in Gdańsk. The IBDS Students presented their research results (presentation schedule can be found below). The event was concluded with a holiday dinner for of the Faculty employees.

Rector's award presented

Dear All,

the Rector's award for the University of Gdańsk PhD students for the academic year 2021/2022 has been granted! In the Intercollegiate Biotechnology Doctoral School of UG and MUG the winner is Weronika Babińska. Our heartfelt congratulations!

The winner is a co-author of three publications, one of which was published in Chemical Engineering Journal, 2022, 452, 4, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cej.2022.139415 (IF16.744, MNiSW 200)
She is also a co-author of two patent applications. She presented the results at five international scientific conferences. Her research results are being applied in the Research & Development Laboratory of IFB UG & MUG.

Science and Education for Sustainable Development - international conference

Dear PhD Students,

on behalf of the Centre for Sustainable Development we invite you to participate in the international conference “Science and Education for Sustainable Development”, which will be held on 24th and 25th November 2022 in Gdańsk.
The conference aims to:

provide a forum for the presentation of new research in the field of sustainable development science;
support the exchange of knowledge and good research practices between experts within selected dimensions of sustainable development;
encourage critical and interdisciplinary discussion on ongoing projects and initiatives.
